Here at twickerati HQ we’re all lovin’ this Instagram pic of the river at Twickenham. It was taken by Eel Pie Islander Michele Whitby and, as she says, “The only things on the river this morning were me, my kayak and the ducks – beautiful”. Beautiful? We’re inclined to agree. What a fantastic way to start your day.

Is it just me, or is it noisier again now that they’ve stopped the trial? I can hear them continually from early in the morning until late at night. What’s going on?
Easterly winds again unfortunately…
A week on – and do we still have easterly winds? It’s never ending the noise? How do you find out about wind directions for your area, do you know?
Looks like easterlies until Monday 1 Dec or so. The Met Office had a site until recently but I can’t find it on there anymore. This site works – http://www.xcweather.co.uk/GB/forecast
and of course temporarily the planes have stopped which makes every Twickenham vista more beautiful and calming…..util next time
