Sunday afternoon saw police descend on London Road near the junction with Cole Park Road by Twickenham Station after a teenager was stabbed in the leg. The incident was reported on social media and subsequently in the Richmond and Twickenham Times and eventually on here. The victim’s condition was described in the RTT as “not life threatening or life changing”.  According to a post on the Cole Park Road Residents Association Facebook page, six “teenage assailants” were seen running down Cole Park Road.  Anyone with any information should contact the police on 101 (reference 4058/19July) or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

It’s worrying to have incidents take place locally in the middle of a Sunday afternoon but fits the trend of rising knife crime on London’s streets.
