You can’t have failed to notice the huge construction site that is Twickenham station, or rather was Twickenham station.  Perhaps you’ve battled your way down the narrow path to the temporary station, perhaps you’ve seen it from the road or perhaps you’ve just heard the noise. Hell, maybe you’ve done all three.  But if you have failed to notice it, then we hereby present photographic evidence of the destruction of the old station.  Enjoy! And for good measure we can exclusively reveal what is happening to the long empty, former Scruby’s furniture shop on Heath Road. Oh, and Iceland’s expanded too – the shop not the country.

Meanwhile this is what’s happening at 149-151 Heath Road. It was Scruby’s furniture store. Scruby’s closed. Tesco bought it. It sat empty for years. Squatters moved in. Squatters moved out.  Now it’s gone.
