We don’t specialise in positivity here at twickerati HQ. Yes, we do do it from time to time but it’s not our USP. That’s what other local websites are for. But… we have to say that we’ve been more than marginally impressed with the flowers on display in Twickenham town centre over the summer. The hanging baskets, the pots, the planters and even the tubs on the trolley outside Sandy’s Fishmongers – all great. Church Street (which picked up a gong for its troubles) is looking particularly impressive as are some of the local pubs, especially The Eel Pie, The White Swan, The Cabbage Patch and The George. Thanks to all those local businesses, residents and Richmond Council types who helped make it happen. As Young Mr Grace would have so eloquently put it, “You’ve all done very well.”
