A moody shot of the Thames at dusk on an autumn afternoon. Like something from a Victorian novel perhaps?
And by contrast, the Thames at Twickenham on a sunny November afternoon during the annual weir draw off.
This WW1 grave is in the Oak Lane cemetery in central Twickenham. Corporal HJ Harrison was 42 when he died in 1915. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission website indicates that he lived in 12 Bonser Road in Twickenham. There are a lot of WW1 graves in cemeteries around the UK.
Our picture of the week is Sweet Memories on Church Street. The retro sweet shop recently picked up a gong at the Richmond Business Awards. And here they’re really getting into the Halloween mode with their spooky window display.
