For those wanting to end the summer with a bit of a party, the traders in Church Street in Twickenham are hosting a Fun Day on Sunday 28th August. It all kicks off (in a good way, of course!) at midday and runs throughout the afternoon. What’s on offer? Well, there’s live music, a climbing wall, a big screen Wii, craft stalls, face painting, punch & judy and the usual Church Street al fresco dining experience. There’s also story telling at Langton’s book shop at 1.00pm and a kids fancy dress competition at 3.00pm. The fancy dress is on the theme of princesses and monsters – clearly no expectation of a gender divide there then. G’won kids, surprise someone! If you feel too old for fancy dress then you can just get yourself a makeover instead. And of course Church Street is already the home of many good cafes and restaurants and two of Twickenham’s best pubs, The Eel Pie and The Fox. All in all, it sounds like a good day out.
