Fatal Stabbing Near Crane Park

An 18 year old man was fatally stabbed on the afternoon of May 6th in Evans Grove, Feltham near Crane Park. The victim, Jamil Palmer from Hampton, had previously attended Teddington School, Kingston College and Richmond College in Twickenham. The incident happened at around 3.30pm and the police are asking anyone with information about the murder or who was in the area at the time, to contact their incident room on 020 8785 8099 or to call Crimestoppers. The Richmond & Twickenham Times reports that two people, an 18 year old and a 16 year old, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have now been bailed pending further enquiries. The paper also includes tributes paid to Jamil by those who knew him well, as does the Evening Standard which also contains an interview with the woman who found the victim dying in the parkland near the River Crane.

The police investigation continues into what the Standard reports as the fourth violent death of a London teenager this year.
